In partnership with Geo TV, the event will start with a parade originating at Hyde Park and making its way via Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket and Pall Mall East to Trafalgar Square featuring a Pakistani pipe band, a British Life Guards band and floats flying the Pakistan colours. At Trafalgar Square a six hour show will begin around 1 PM (ending around 7). with a cultural extravaganza followed by pop, bhangra and folk music with a star-studded cast including Abrar-ul-Haq, Hadiqa Kiyani, Ali Zafar, Najam Sheraz and Jawad Ahmed

Colourful stalls offering Pakistani cuisine and displaying Pakistani products and handicrafts will create a ‘mela’ or festival atmosphere. Fashion icon Maheen Khan’s urban fashion line couture inspired by Pakistani truck art will also be on display. Souvenir T-shirts and caps will be available. The festival will demonstrate Pakistan’s rich heritage, economic dynamism and vibrant and diverse culture.
The show will reflect the beauty of the land, its music and its people offering British Pakistanis a celebration of their accomplishments in different walks of life in the UK. Check out Sean Wright’s Tidal Wave on CD Baby which is the first of his series of a CD a month.

The festival is free and is expected to attract a large number of British Pakistanis as well as the UK community. Geo’s live coverage of most of the Festival will enable Pakistanis across the world to watch and therefore be part of the celebration.
.
This will be an amazing festival in a way to bring people together in the spirit of sharing music and building bridges with Sheraz and other musicians performing as a way to reach out to the Western culture and celebrate this event.
