BARGAIN ALERT!! Moschino Archive Sale Hits Yoox.com and Benefits AMREF Schools in Kenya!!
From 17th October 2007, for the first time, MOSCHINO’s historical archives will be available for sale online exclusively on YOOX.COM. Profits will be donated to AMREF, a non-profit organization, in order to sustain the “Going to school with AMREF” project in Kenya.
Moschino lovers will have a chance to buy unique pieces and rediscover the most significant themes of the following collections: men’s, women’s and accessories. These historic pieces played an important role in the making of Italian fashion and its worldwide prestige, because of their particular taste and freedom of expression, combining a provocative modern vision with flawless tailoring.
Moschino Archive sale went online today at YOOX.COM featuring the most historic pieces from Moschino’s long history of iconic designs.
With its lines Moschino, Moschino Cheap and Chic, Moschino Mare and Moschino Jeans, the brand is a perfect example of a creative spirit that manages to blend irony and open-mindedness.
In addition to style, trends, and elegance, Moschino uses clothing to speak about the social issues that have always interested the brand’s founder: human rights, pacifism, ecology, and the breaking of conventions in a continual “battle against the obvious”.
Moschino and YOOX.COM, support AMREF (African Medical & Research Foundation), founded in Nairobi in 1957. AMREF is the only international health development NGO in Africa, known for actively involving local communities (95% of its staff are African) and for supporting their autonomous development.
The profits from the Moschino archive sale will be donated to the “Going to school with AMREF” project, active in 50 schools across Kenya, especially in the district of Malindi and Kilifi. The project aims to increase the school attendance rate, the level of hygiene and health conditions in schools, improve existing infrastructures and create new ones, as well as promote health prevention and care.
Since Franco Moschino’s passing in 1994, Rossella Jardini has been Moschino’s Creative Director and responsible for the brand’s image and style; gathering together the founder’s “creative testimony”, she has kept his philosophy and aesthetic alive and flourishing.
These are real collectable items and the proceeds go to AMREF supporting schools in Kenya.
