The Kin's Isaac Koren Talks About Rise And Fall's Music and Inspiration!

If you had the opportunity to check out yesterday’s blog/podcast on THE KIN , then you will understand what’s cooking with today’s post and podcast with Isaac Koren. In case you haven’t heard the podcast with THE KIN it’s a relatively short bit and is part 1 of a series of podcasts on this new alt music group that has one of the most unique musical presentations I have encountered.

Isaac is driving me to the location in Pennsylvania where the RISE AND FALL was recorded which is in a cernturies old farmhouse on this gorgeous piece of land– it’s so fitting given the nature of their music. Take a listen and let me know what you think of this podcast. It has been edited down to eliminate car noise and some other unnecessary stuff. There is MORE– but you will get this in bits and pieces.

What’s really cool is seeing the location where it all was recorded because suddenly some of the songs pop into a three dimensional type of sound. It’s visual in a very real sense– and their music is too.. particularly when performed live, it takes on it’s own life, essence and dimension.

The smaller barn (love that the chair was just there. We didn’t add it. It was just *there*)

Part of the field that I just happened to snap and found out later there was a little building in the brush.
What’s really unique about the sound is that it’s from the two brothers creating in tandam with such synchronicity that they are almost inhabiting the same space/time– and they are very much of the same mind– yet different– which you can tell from the previous podcast #1.
So hang tight. Wiith luck there will be part #3 with Thorry Koren on Tuesday– just in time for their performance at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. (get your tickets now!!)
