LA FashionWeek Redux.. Spork Fashion's Alyse Brings Us the Spring 2008 According to Heatherette

Alyse from Sporkfashion and I shoot pithy emails and Facebook IM’s back and forth — some are downright outrageous. She has a really sharp wit and I appreciate that.. hence her contributing to this blog on select LA Fashion Week Shows– like Heatherette!
Here’s a bit of Spork Fashion’s take on Heatherette’s Spring 2008 show.
Heatherette always has a fun, wild collection – Spring 08 is no exception. I was impressed with the number of truly wearable pieces that still hold on to that playful Heatherette style.
There were still some of those trademark Heatherette art pieces there. Trends spotted on the Heatherette runway: lots of red white and blue and America-themes; bright plaids; and corsets. Lots of beaded, braided, and fringed details.
