Oscar Beauty Gets An F– As in FHI Hair Tools!

FHI hair products are well known for being dependable and very versatile. The line of hair tools are top notch and really effective from curling iron ( see the post about Jennifer Garner!) as well as the flat irons and hair dryers. (I am a sucker for a great hair dryer. FHI has some of the best imho!)

For presenter Nicole Kidman’s hair, stylist Chris McMillan created a modern version of a classic chignon inspired by actress Tippi Hedren and 1960s The Birds film. He first blew her hair dry with a round brush, then smoothed the hair lightly using a FHI Heat Platform SE styling iron and applying the serum from his upcoming product line.

He then side-parted her hair and pulled the hair back into a simple chignon at the nape of the neck, pinning the hair loosely. “It is a modern organic look that updates the classic bun and revels in slight asymmetry,” states McMillan.

Stylist Peter Butler styled Best-Actress nominee Laura Linney with an elegant Grace Kelly-inspired look that he describes as “sophisticated without being overdone.” Butler first blew out her hair with the FHI Heat Nano Salon Pro 2000 dryer, then used a curling iron to set the hair in curls. Next, he then brushed out the curls and applied shine serum and to take away the fly aways, finishing with hairspray.
