Well Above Average Goes Back In Time for Fashion Picks at Unique-Vintage.com

Given all the red carpet events where vintage styles are in– and I do mean “IN!”– it’s not surprising to see stores popping up online featuring serious vintage. Well Above Average, Ten Pretty Girls, Debutante Clothing and Feteafete.com and LA-Story have decided to “raid” an online store and pick out our personal favorite items. Each post will detail why the item was picked, how we would wear it, and what we really liked — and didn’t like about it.
We might talk about the site/online store and how it functions as well– depending on space and time (ours and yours).
So check out the first entry into this: Well Above Average Explores Unique-Vintage.com
While Stella talks about vintage not really being her thing, she does find something truly cool– very much her for summer 2008. I love Stella’s pick on the halter top, it suits her eclectic and colorful style using a singular piece to really spark a look that emphasizes the best parts of her yoga-fit body.
Personally I am drawn to the piece too but I see me wearing it once and then putting it back in the closet and not wearing it again anytime soon. It is “perfectly Stella” though and I applaud the choice because she can rock the colors, style and wear it till it’s dies a sizzling death.
This can be found on Unique-Vintage.com here

You need to be aware that this is a “vintage-inspired ” store and not the real deal. They have found some interesting vintage pieces, updated them into modern sizing (some for the larger woman too) and offered a variety of color options in case you had your heart set on a particular style. There’s a LOT going on with this online store. Definitely worth checking out– and I found several long gowns that are totally drool-worthy (though not that I have any place to wear them).
