It’s time for Celebrity Style Slam!– UK Stylist Michaela Jedinak’s commentary on the celebrity fashion winners and losers. Michaela comments regularly on a variety of current celebrities at events or about town and how their style chalks up in her typical “call them as she sees them” manner.

Celebrities Featured: Norah Jones and Nick Cannon

Nick Cannon

Colours: The colours are far too light for his colouring. It would have been better to opt for a darker coat. Cannon wears far too many colours that don’t work as well with each other.
Bodyshape: The jacket and trousers are oversized and fitted for his shape, which is a bit of a trend now. The mistake here is that these are not clothes that are cut in a volume/oversized kind of way– instead he opts for bigger sizes to wear this trend. The result is that the jacket and trousers are just too big for his scale and he ust looks badly dressed.
Style: It doesn’t make you a “bigger” person to wear bigger clothes. It looks like he still needs to grow into them which is never a good professional image. He doesn’t wear only far too many colours that don’t work with each other, but he tries to do too many styles at once. The result is too busy and the different pieces clash with each other. The choice of shoes is unforgivable!
Overall rating: 2** ( He has a pretty and winning smile!) Two Stars

Norah Jones

Colour: Black looks fantastic on her! It really complements her hair, skin and eyes.
Bodyshape: What a perfect dress for her bodyshape! It all complements her features. The bigger strap gives way to her beautiful shoulders, which also balances nicely with the fuller skirt.
Her décolleté line is beautifully set in focus by opting for a fitted cut. Her long waist is centered and shown by the higher waistline of the dress and by the gathered fabric in the middle of her waistline. The hemline of her dress is showing her beautiful legs without revealing too much but just enoug. This outfit is true elegance and sophistication.
Style: She adds a contrasting colour by wearing a red lipstick and in her heels which right on trend.
Her haircut is current and looks youthful on her though I miss her beautiful long hair. The necklace and handbag is a little bit too understated with the dress and look.
It would have been nicer and better to wear a more dramatic black clutch bag or/and dramatic earrings or bracelets.
Her look seems a bit unfinished. It misses the signature pieces to put it altogether to a signature look. What a pity!
Overall Rating: 5***** Five Stars
