Fashion For Life Honors Retailer Lisa Kline with Vision Award & Fundraising for Friendly House!!

Many noted Angelenos and the public are welcome to attend and participate in Fashion For Life 2008 at Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills on Sunday, May 18 .

honoree, retailer Lisa Kline and Good Day LA’s Jillian Barbarie Reynolds (who will present the award to Kline) are part of this annual showcase and celebration of Los Angeles fashion to raise awareness and funds for Friendly House, one of Los Angeles’ oldest and most valued community alcohol and drug recovery organizations for women.

Since it’s founding three years ago, Fashion For Life has showcased a “who’s who” of LA design talent, including Miss Davenporte, Mike & Chris, Avita, Corey Lynn Calter, Susana Mercedes, J Mary, Elisa Ferare, Pamela Barish, Society for Rational Dress, Cosa Nostra, Howe, Robert Rodriguez, Suss Design, Single, Shay Todd, and Jak and Rae.

Special guest DJ AM will spin during the fashion show.

A non-profit organization, Friendly House is one of the nation’s first residential homes for women recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. As a social model living facility, Friendly House offers full time supervision and has garnered an exceptionally high recovery rate of over 72%.
Friendly House’s aim is to provide services to any alcoholic/drug-addicted woman who is ready to make a commitment to recovery. No woman in crisis is turned
away due to inability to pay residence fees. Its primary goals are to achieve a stabilized recovery from the cycle of addiction, renew family relationships and achieve productive community reintegration.
