Back to the Future: Vintage Clothing Makes a Serious Fashion-Forward Statement, Courtesy of Debutante Clothing!!

Debutante Clothing’s Deblog has recently featured some items that have appeared on this blog– the Jennifer Behr headbands and other similar items that are a unique combo of retro+ combo styles.
Her most recent blog post– Vintage Fashion Mix – Flapper Era Touches shows this off with serious distinction and while some items are $$$ there are others (shoes for instance) that are pretty reasonable.

I am in love with so many pieces here it’s not even funny!
Both pairs of shoes– and I would buy those Gabriella Rocha Cosette in the PINK or the GREY (or both) in a heartbeat ( $80.00)
The mesh handbags are killer– but I would check Ebay first for Whiting and Davis bags– without all the details that make it special but make it more affordable.
Adore the rings and the HSN version is so affordable you should kick yourself if you don’t buy that.
Regarding the vintage dress that I adore as much as Miss Sandra, I would take the photo or a photo of some similar dress and have it made. It’s worth the effort to head into LA’s garment district and find some satin or to be really chi-chi.. silk charmeuse and get some lace and beading details that you might find on some vintage stuff or find at a store just like that.
One could also have a jewelry designer create something that would be embedded in some way to mesh and have it sewn in/on the dress. (just a thought– and I do get some doozys!)
Keep it up Sandra!! Check out the Debutante Clothing Deblog
