As NYFW has already kicked off, it’s really interesting to see the variety of runway shows and collections and it’s definitely going to be covered in greater detail by Nancy Lichtenstein, a regular contributor here when it comes to all things fashion.
One of the haute shows from the 2/15 collections was Lela Rose. As Marilyn Kirschner reports from DFR (Daily Fashion Report) on lookonline.com ran a serious review on the collection. I had already run through this show and pulled my favorite images but here’s what Kirschner had to say about Lela Rose’s Fall 2009 show.
Ombre green dress might not be everyone’s perfect color but the style and dynamic use of color was interesting.
Here are some photos of my favorites:
Love this dress for it’s depth of color, wearability day to night and general style.
This burgundy dress speaks to me so loudly that I am dying to get this!
Sighing because right now is not the time to be buying or contemplating this dress (the economy speaks to me as it does to you). However the receipt of an email from Stila about the Lela Rose show got my attention because Stila put together a collection from the Lela Rose show and partnered with Beauty.com to sell this collection *right now*.
Stila Backstage with Lela Rose and Beauty.com contains four key products used by every artist backstage at the Spring 2009 fashion show.
Stila Sun Shade 02 was used to bronze the models’ cheekbones. This bronzer is known for its amazing buildable color, which makes it a makeup artist favorite season after season.
Lip Glaze in Cranberry gave a pop of color to the models’ pouts.
Eye Shadow in Starlight let the lids shimmer with a champagne glow.
Major Lash Mascara in Brown gave the models long, luxurious lashes. The Brown shade helped to create a balanced, feminine face.
All of these products are housed in an adorable signature Stila hat box and includes a mini version of the actual face chart used backstage at the fashion show!
You can get this collection on Stilacosmetics.com or beauty.com for only $34.00!!
What a deal — get the look now since it’s incredibly wearable for spring, summer and fall.
