Be Eco-Friendly!!Experience "Bag Love" with Eco Ferragamo Bags .
I love handbags as much as the next woman– sometimes more than others. Rarely do I experience “bag love” (or lust) the way some bag afficionados do– until now.

Ferragamo has captured my heart (though I hope not too much of my wallet) with this incredible line of Eco Ferragamo handbags that are created using an innovative and extremely unique eco-friendly tanning process that uses only natural elements developed solely for Ferragamo. (Say bye-bye to metals!). This new tanning technique enhances the characteristics and texture of the leather while creating biodegradable, water-resistant skins that are both soft and beautiful and completely free of pollutants!! The dyes used are made from tree bark and the entire process is certified by the German Institute SG-Mark, the organization that has 10 stringent parameters to insure that no environmentally harmful substances have been used on the materials.
The Eco Ferragamo line comprises a series of five day bags, including a small tote, soft handbags and a maxi hobo, each bearing SG-Mark certification. The bags feature the distinctive Ferragamo Gancino in leather, a hand-woven pattern in their center and a closure with specially crafted ornamentation. The colors range from brown and black to lighter hues of pink-red and lemon yellow, all the more prestigious as they are extremely difficult to achieve using eco-friendly dyes. (The lighter colors are to die for. My heart is going pitter-patter– and fast!)
The brand has chosen to line Eco Ferragamo bags in handwoven
hemp, an environmentally sustainable material, as it is a highly resistant plant that does not require the use of pesticides. It returns nitrogen and other nutrients to the soil, combats soil erosion and generates large quantities of oxygen, given its rapid growth cycle.
The bags are currently available and retail from $1,190 to $1,890.
