Trendspotting From the Right Coast: Nancy Lichtenstein Gets Serious About H2O!!

Nancy Lichtenstein has been MIA only because she’s been hard at work wrapping up so many articles that you would think she doesn’t sleep. (Actually she really doesn’t. She has a clone to help her out and thus can carry-on a double life –one as a stellar writer and contributor to this blog and another as a fashionable woman about town). While she’s been getting the scoop for you, her alter-ego has been busy writing. Nancy has lots of articles about fashion and beauty but this designer water piece definitely had to go first.

Hayden Panettiere chooses her Neuro..

I know all about designer shoes and designer clothes, but the designer water trend puzzled me until I chanced upon the Neuro beverage brand at a Fashion Week event. Lots of my friends are devoted to Vitamin Water, but I don’t want to spend the calories on liquid and I find it to be overly sweet and not particularly energizing. Neuro bridges the gap between good intentions and a “smart” drink that is actually effective.
The line currently has 7 flavors, all of which average 25 calories per serving and include no artificial flavoring, and each drink targets a different area of performance:
Neurosonic for improved mental functioning,
Neurosleep to help you sleep better,
Neurotrim to support weight loss,
Neurosporty to make your workouts more effective,
Neurobliss for mood enhancement, Neuroaqua for better hydration, and even Neurogasm to improve…well, you know.
(I was test-driving these during a visit from my parents and I actually hid this one on a back shelf until they were gone.)

Most of the drinks are lightly carbonated, and all of them except Neurosleep contain a bit of caffeine, so while you’re waiting for the micronutrients they contain to be absorbed they give you a bit of a kick.
Neuro beverages are the hot accessory around town for smart girls right now–you can find them at cool places like the mini-bars in the Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills and poolside at the W Hotel Los Angeles. They’ve also been spotted in the hands of dozens of celebrities (Madonna and Guy Ritchie may not agree on much these days but they both are devotees of Neuro).

The taste varies depending on which drink you pick– it disconcerted me on first swallow as I wasn’t expecting them to be carbonated, but they grow on you and the best flavor in my opinion is Neurotrim. If you’re like me and you’re constantly struggling to get those 8 servings of water in daily, this is a fun and nutritious way to supplement plain water.

Thanks to Nancy Lichtenstein for this piece on Neuro Beverages. I have tried a couple and actually like them. I do like the sliming one quite a bit but the others work out well for only 25 calories. What’s not to like about a beverage like that?

  1. Does the bottle come with John? 😉
I could use the sleep one for when I travel on business and not used to the time changes
