Women's Conference 2009: Patrick Schwarzenegger and Friends Talk about Project360

One of the last interviews I did at the Night in the Village was the one with Patrick Schwarzenegger and Nick Sheinberg, 2/3 of the Project360 to benefit many causes. The third partner Kimberly Barth was “manning ” the sales tables selling hoodies, tees, and leather embossed bracelets (I bought one)

Project360 is an innovative line of Earth-friendly bracelets, each one representing a different charitable cause. For every bracelet sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a specific charity, which the buyer will choose via a unique interactive feature. The bracelets are made from recycled leather and eco-leather and are manufactured in America.
The creators of Project360 are Patrick Schwarzenegger, Nick Sheinberg and Kimberly Barth.
Best friends Schwarzenegger and Sheinberg, both only 15 years old, believe that their new venture will empower others to make a positive impact on society. “People don’t realize just how much change they’re capable of,” explained Patrick.

“Hopefully, we’ll inspire kids and adults alike to help those in need,” added Nick.
The Project360 concept was born at The Women’s Conference, an annual event organized by California’s First Lady Maria Shriver and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger – or as Patrick calls them, “Mom and Dad.” It was here that the two friends raised money for battered women through the sale of rubber charity bracelets. It was also where they first met Kimberly, a fashion trendsetter who recognized the vast potential in their concept.

“My first thought was, ‘Why aren’t these guys in school?'” said Kimberly. “My next thought was, ‘We could turn this into something really special.'”
Of course, Patrick and Nick normally do go to class, and are about to finish their freshman year of high school. Both love to play football and basketball, and also share a keen interest in business, which explains why they have devoted their evenings and weekends to working with Kimberly on the Project360 concept.
Using fashion as a vehicle to raise awareness for worldly causes, “Project360 hopes to unite people through change,” said Nick.
“Yes, Project360 is a fashion statement; but it also makes an even bigger statement,” said Kimberly. “We’re saying that education and social consciousness is cool.”
“We did more than design bracelets; we got involved and we’re asking everyone to join our team,” added Patrick.
With the launch of the line set for the fourth quarter, “Team Project360” hopes that before too long, people everywhere will be wearing their bracelets with pride, knowing that their contribution made the world a better place. And why not? Helping your fellow man never goes out of style
Thanks to Patrick, Kim and Nick for their time and detailed explanation.
