Swarovski Fashion Week: Graeme Armour Hits NYFW for His First US Fashion Show

Making his debut both in US at the New York Fashion Week hitting the catwalk, Graeme Armour has a really unique design aesthete. His styles defy category and could be broken up and worn with different pieces and styles depending on your fashion sensibility and willingness to work a bit on the wild side.
Graeme Armour commented

“;I am really thrilled at the opportunity of working with Swarovski on my AW 2010/11 collection. They have allowed me to develop my linked metal garments idea with added Crystallized Swarovski Elements that are on track and looking very special indeed… With NY quickly approaching we are working closely with the team at Swarovski and they have been amazing in listening to our thoughts and grasping my somewhat crazy thoughts. I can’t thank them enough for their support.”

This is a true avant garde line that has had some inspiration from Yoko Ono as well as Graeme own imagination. The marriage of fringey ruffled leather pants is genius and not everyone could pull that off with such attention to detail as Armour. While he works with a great deal of metal details on these different garments, it's interesting to note that while leggings or tight slim pants work with a lot of the tops, they could be worn easily with a pencil skirt. Armour's creative genius might not appeal to all but for those willing to step out on the wild side and walk a new fashion line, they would be very happy to get that attention, particularly with the last dress which has huge metal chunks attached to cashmere tunic dress. Yummy!
