Celebrity Style Slam: Tina Fey VS Rutina Wesley Emmys 2010 Red Carpet!
It was Emmys last week and I can’t say I thought it was the greatest event. Those with great performances won– and there were some surprises which was lovely. However the red carpet fashion was — except for the guys particularly those in Brooks Brothers– not so great IMHO.
Nancy Lichtenstein returns to cha about the fashion of the red carpet and this is part one: Tina Fey and Rutina Wesley. This time we are changing up the method of presentation to podcasts for each “style slam” that we are doing– total of 5 posts and 10 celebrities.
Tina Fey wore a black silk organza embroidered gown with white satin underlay by Oscar de la Renta. (double-checked this on at least 5 different blogs and magazine sites to make sure I had the right information)
Overall ratng: 2 stars: Great makeup, jewelry. Everything else, not so much.
Tina, try a new stylist because that gown did you no favors.
Rutina Wesley wore a Douglas Arnette gown. hand-painted with a black and white pattern, the shoes that completed the silhouette where chunky platform Christian Louboutin peep toe shoes.
Overall rating: 3.5 stars
Rutina you rocked the beauty side of things amazingly well. The dress was a scorching hot silhouette for your body type. However the paint splatters weren’t as flattering as perhaps a solid or metallic dress. The sexy slit showed off killer gams but the shoes did you no favors with that dress.
Winner: Rutina Wesley.
Thanks to Nancy Lichtenstein for her participation in Celebrity Style Slam. As always, she did a knock-out job!
