Get Twilight’s Ashley Greene’s Look Courtesy of Lancome’s Darais

While this was posted initially on InStyle.com, I am running it here because I have not only a podcast but a video with Lancome’s National Makeup Artist Darais about the seasonal beauty trends. The trick shown here and that Darais talks about both in podcast & video is that smoky eyes aren’t just done in black or grey– try other colors like navy, brown, purple/aubergine and even some metallics like bronze.

Ashley Greene’s look shows off a chocolate brown smoky eye that gives a lighter softer look but still sexy as hell.
Darais did this makeup on Ashley so here’s his breakdown:

Brush a nude shadow from the lash line up past the crease

Line the upper lashline with Lancome’s Le Crayon Khol in Black Coffee and smudged the line.

Set the entire lid with a cocoa-hued shadow–Faux Pas, Impress or Mannequin are good choices.

Finish the look by rimming the lower inner line with the Khol pencil

Apply a coat (or two) of Lancome’s Oscillation mascara.

Other mascara options include the Definicils Precious Cells which is both nourishing primer and mascara in one and also Hypnose Drama for that “drop dead” dramatic fringey lash for evening.

You can find all these products at www.Lancome-usa.com

Thanks to InStyle.com and Darais for the breakdown! Check back for the podcast & video post to get more ideas!
