Music Notes: Calif’s “Cold War Kids” Dropping New Album

As I started to write this up, I was unaware of who this band really was. I had listened to them on myspace- but didn’t check out their bios. I went for the music– it’s where I start. Then I dig deeper for who they are. Get this-these guys come from my home town. How wild is that? I wasn’t aware of them– but thanks to their label, they tossed me some 411

Now I am listening to Royal Blue (an amazing song).
Music= awesome sounds that will stick in your mind for a while . Louder than Ever is out now- on iTunes. Thoughtful lyrics with a bit of a 90’s meets 2011 vibe.

While they will soon be on tour, their new CD– MINE IS YOURS–drops on 1/25 and they will be playing Amoeba Records in Hollywood on 1/25 as well. This is your chance to see this indie/alt band for FREE! If you are in LA, get your bodies there and hear these guys. The CD will be totally rocking and you won’t be sorry that you cut work/school/whatever to see them.
