As I wandered with my friend D who lives in one of those tiny but adorable Finger Lake towns, this is as close I have ever been to rural on an “up close & personal” basis. Other than an occasional strawberry purchase out here by the beach, or inland a bit, I haven’t seen farm country except as passing scenery traveling to northern California.
So these photos are widely varied as this is old country– from before the Revolutionary War. Think “Last of the Mohicans” genre and you have it tagged about right.
