Hot Beauty Buys: Sephora Shows Off Their Best Buy Picks!

I love Sephora. Goodness knows I spend enough time and money online and in the store. I love it for what it has and I love that sometimes it’s so overwhelming that I cannot buy anything– because either it’s everything or nothing. The selection is too overwhelming!
Here’s a video from Sephora– it’s just about a month old but the products still are HOT– and will be hot throughout the holiday season. Here’s the video and the links with my comments since I have tried most of them.

Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tatoos : Available earlier in limited distribution with distinctive patterns, Sephora has an exclusive on some of the Glitterati colors and I love the red, pink and gold. A tip to make the application easier is to watch the online videos and perhaps take your laptop into the bathroom to do this. Slower is better than faster– if you catch my drift!
Awesome all day coverage.. but if you get the wild patterns, hopefully you work in a creative environment where they don’t care if you have the Union Jack or a rainbow on your lips!
The glitteratis are the most user-friendly because they are more like a lip color appearance– with just a lot of glitter.

Dior Show Lash Primer is a great base for treating lashes well and helping them stay supple as well as giving you a solid base to build a beautiful fringe. I wish I have tried this stuff but they do have an affordable mini-duo of primer + mascara for $20. Worth the bucks to test drive this baby out. I know the mascara rocks– the primer should be equally as amazing.

Magnetic Nails is the latest nail trend + the ultimate test of patience. This nail polish has a special blend of minerals within the polish the respond to the magnet in the cap that you lightly swipe above your nails to create interesting designs. Available in 3 lush shades, I can’t wait for it to come out in more colors. It is tricky. It does require patience in use of the magnet. Don’t rush it! Do check out any and all youtube videos. If you are easily frustrated this isn’t the product for you. Get gel, Shellac or OPI nails and call it a day (or at least a couple weeks).

Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Collection: includes a 12 hour Blush, a wonderful Discovery Set (exclusive to Sephora and has a nice assortment of products) and Tarte’s “Gifted” Amazonian Clay smart Mascara . These products are made unique by the discovery of the beauty benefits of Amazonian Clay by Maureen Kelly, Tarte’s founder. This clay has the ability to balance whatever beauty minuses you have and make them pluses. Whether it’s your skin being dry or oily, it will balance out the skin. The mascara makes lashes longer, more supple and generally more gorgeous. The kit is worth trying since for $39, you can try $103 of product– now that’s a great gift!

Brazilian Peel is A-MAZ-ING!! I won a box in a contest on Facebook (thank you Catherine) and then I bought a couple more rounds of this to stretch out the peels I got from my derm. This product is terrific. Use it once a week, with the accompanying products every night and voila, at the end of 4-5 weeks, you have clearer, brighter, better-textured, more even-toned skin. There’s even a version for acne-plagued skin! It’s medical strength glycolic delivers what it promises (though there is that YMMV [your mileage may vary]) What’s not to like? I can’t find a thing wrong with it. I love it! Buy it or gift it!!

Betsy Johnson’s known for whimsical fashion lines and now she has translated that whimsy into fragrances with Betsy Johnson TooToo! Obviously the second in the collection from Johnson, this one is quirky and fun with a blend of florals and fruits. Not to be taken too seriously, don’t underestimate it’s sex-appeal.

That’s what’s hot for this past month and definitely some great gifting ideas in here– and you never know. That shopping you do in store or online could very well make you a Sephora VIB!!
