Kim Kardashian Goes to Minnesota: Is It Regret or Moderating Negative Press?

By the time this post hits, it will be ammended a couple of times as this event plays out but still there’s a lot to be said for what Kim Kardashian is– or isn’t doing? Is this trip to Minnesota to see her soon-to-be ex-husband Kris Humphries merely crisis management and damage control?

I Mean What?!? blogger Abe Gurko ran a blog last week that was the perfect spin on what most likely was going on behind closed doors before Kim went to Australia.
Like Sands Through The Hour Glass…So Are The Days Of Kim’s Lives. The hilarity of this post is that it hits so close to home. Definitely a mama’s girl, Gurko nails it down to the fine edge of a stiletto (and I don’t mean shoes).

Saturday Night Live took a good shot at Kim & Kris (Humphries and Jenner both)

Accompanied by what looks like a bodyguard, Kardashian landed in Minnesota. What is the point? She’s played her hand and now she’s trying to make nice. It’s a bit late for that isn’t it? The bodyguard seems a bit superfluous. She could do it alone with large glasses, flying first class on a regular plane because how many people are really heading to Minnesota at this time of year to visit? It’s pretty cold there and you don’t go there unless you live there.

Then you get the stuff about what’s going on from the blog-arazzi.

The biggest question is why is Kim making this so “public” ? She could have done a lot behind the scenes before all of this became public. Marriage counseling could have been done but maybe the example set by mom and step-dad, just wasn’t about trying really hard to get along. One has to think that the bottom line is really about $$.
