It’s cold outside– no matter which coast you live on (or in the middle of the country) you do need to pick up a good bottle of spirits and try some drinks that are based on warm ingredients and others that are just “hot”/thermal!
Peligroso Tequila has some great recipes that are presenting cocktails with a different spin.
Peligroso Hot Toddy— “The cure for what ails you”
Simmer a peppermint tea bag in 1 cup of hot water
add:
1 oz Peligroso Reposado or Anejo
1 Tbsp honey
Squeeze of fresh lemon
Pour into a coffee cup or a heavy glass and sip thoughtfully.
HOT MANZANA: —“one a day keeps the doctor away”
Single shot of PELIGROSO REPO OR ANEJO
Hot Apple Cider
Cinnamon Stick optional
(This one is particularly tasty for after dinner!)
Bloody Maria
2 oz Peligroso Silver or Reposado Tequila
1 tsp horseradish
3 dashes Tabasco sauce
3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
dash of lime juice
3 dashes celery salt
3 dashes pepper
tomato juice
1 tsp dijon mustard (optional)
celery stalk for garnish
lemon and/or lime wedge for garnish
cucumber and celery garnish (optional)
Preparation:
Build the ingredients in a highball glass over ice cubes.
Top with tomato juice.
This can be more or less spicy based on the ingredients. So be cautious. You can add in tabasco, red chile pepper or you can back it off by deleting the ingredients that you know are spicy.
It’s a fun drink and a really smooth change from the usual spirit tied to this drink
