Back again with the third and last post from Volvo’s Holiday DIY series of videos. I am not being compensated for this. I just happen to love the gracious sharing and family-time these DIY projects make. However in light of the FTC, here’s my comments.
While I don’t need to do any disclaimer since I am not being compensated for anything in this post or the others in this series, this is a TERRIFIC series of videos courtesy of VOLVO who want you to have a great holiday season. Materials
kraft paper
scissors
double-sided tape
ribbon
gift tags
Cut a piece of kraft paper that’s at least double the size of your package so that you can wrap it completely without piecing the paper together. Add 3 inches more to the longest (or all) sides to make sure you have sufficient paper to cover the entire package PLUS miter corners at than you need on ALL sides of your package! If it’s a rectangular package you might lose some paper but it’s paper! (Use it for tinder in your fireplace)
Watch video and keep it looping back!
Miter your corners so they have a sharp and clean finish. Fold raw edges to the interior by at least half an inch. Trim as necessary.
Carefully use enough double-sided tape to seal the packages sides/edges cleanly.
Use a LONG piece of red ribbon to neatly and cleanly wrap around the entire package!

Tie a nice bow.
Add a tag with names of “to” and “from”
Best done standing at a kitchen table, bar counter or a kitchen counter with all tools and materials necessary at that location (plus a trash bag).
Play Christmas music. Do not watch the football or basketball game!

wrapping gifts without seams isn’t hard until you realize you need lots more paper than you think- about 2x as much to not have to cut from another role- or worse, cut from another pattern. But there is a saving grace on that last one. Pull remnants from lots of different left over paper and create a unique patchwork effect!
