I agree!! I do have a knack for more cookies, and sweet stuff. I do interesting pairings of ice cream; dress up chocolate chip cookie recipes, and can really do something special with things bought at stores that need to be baked. My take on a fruit shortcake or even cheesecakes is pretty cool.
Italian is also a fave along with Mexican. What I do with mac and cheese is amazing…… but I try not to fix it often as the kid will eat it ALL and leave zip for us. (Unless I add mushrooms)

If I am going to take the time to really “cook”, I want the recipe to reflect me. I took brussel sprouts that were leftovers from a roasted veggie array along with some beets and tossed those into an omelette….. also they are good shredded in food processor to toss into salads or tacos…
