Foodie Fix: Pie in My Eye: Sweet and Savory Pies that I Am DYING to Try! Recipe Collection!

It’s time for a Foodie.com #foodie fix! (sponsored post) I am part of Foodie.com because I find the recipes helpful (downright essential at times). I also find great inspiration for recipes that I can use as a basis for riffs and spin-offs. Often it’s about window-shopping to see if I really want to make something or it’s just a momentary lust.

I like being part of Foodie.com. What I feature here are my own choices with an eye for things that someone like me would like. I have eclectic tastes (and you know that based on the restaurants I review and the cocktails I feature!). This post was to feature “pies” – an foodie homage to George Washington. I used my own creativity to stretch the lust for all things sweet to make it both sweet and savory pies.

In other words, this is a sponsored post. However if you know me, then you know I am pretty transparent, authentic Bottom line, my choices are my own– and I chose far more pies to feature than the assignment was requiring.
I loved the idea of savory things of late , primarily due to a switch to cut the sugar out of my diet (thank you Jorge Cruise). However it never lasts too long and sweets were back on my plate– just less of them!

Hope you enjoy these recipes. Let me know if you make any of them. I would love feedback. I have some things on my fast and easy list that I want to tweak via veggie additions and changing some flavors.

  1. Pastry makes everything better. Those clafoutis things are really good and tie little time to make.

  2. Thanks Pam. I have always wanted to make a clafouti but hesitated because it looked complex. Your comment makes it more likely I would try it. (flavor and any other suggestions welcome)
