If your mixer has a paddle attachment, you are good to go. This book uses paddle attachments on a standing mixer.. and for as much as I use a regular mixer, I wouldn’t pony up $300-400 for a standing mixer.

However that said, there are some great tricks and tips on the Eat More Dessert (only the things she makes which doesn’t include pies or ice cream of any sort) easy-peasey sort of snacks that include rice krispie treats and using ritz crackers and peanut butter sandwiched together to create crispy things to dip into the candy melts.
