Celebrate the Women in Your Life (Moms or Not) with a “Girls Night In Event”! #Trop50 #sponsored

You have lots of friends but you can’t seem to see most of them on a timely basis. Count work, family involvement, perhaps a second job, school, children are part of the mix and time is in very short supply. While everyone juggles schedules and budgets, it’s not often easy to get a group of your besties together. Given the right incentives and enough advance notice, virtually anyone and everyone will jump at the opportunity for “girl time” with her friends.
By having it at someone’s home in the evening or at the park during the day, it’s affordable, easy and rather blissful.

So how does one maximize this opportunity for feminine bonding? By choosing the right beverages and snacks/food!
Trop50 who sponsored this post (see the disclosure at the end of this post) had created a collection of non-alcoholic sips that are tasty, easy to make and oh-so-good for you. Feature these sips along with a few of your own creations. Don’t forget the food too. Small plates are easy to do – saving $$ + calories on the quantity of food along with the cost!

Here are some tips I have for making this event easy to create and happen!
1) Figure out who in your circle of friends you are inviting has the biggest time crunch and ask them to check their calendar so that you can pick out a workable date. If the event is anything like mine, it was 8+ weeks out and I was working around holidays.
2) Keep the group relatively small and have a list of others you want to invite in case you have more cancellations than you anticipate. You can then add more people into the mix easily without stressing.
3) Pot luck or shared dishes *(not china, food!). Everyone brings something to share and thus there isn’t too much of an onus on anyone. Pack it up in aluminum or easily disposable container and voila– virtually no clean=-up!
4) Focus on non-alcoholic drinks, particularly if most are driving!

Check out this Trop50 Collection on Foodie.com for more ideas for mocktails, food and beverage inspiration.

Four easy points to make this party happen and make it fun and fabulous. If I can do it, you can too!
