Celebrate June 1 with the Perfect Weekend Cocktail: SW4 London Dry Gin Serves Up 2 Sips for Summer!

I know that Sundays are often hard days to face. End of the weekend, the start of a new workweek I have something for you that’s rather special– SW4 London Dry Gin! It’s not your typical gin and it’s loaded with botanicals and a proprietary recipe!

SW4 London Dry Gin’s 12 botanicals are blended in a signature robust style, opening with strong Juniper
aromas, subtle citrus, exotic spices, and delicate floral notes with hints of lemon peel and cassia. On the palate,
SW4 is creamy, full, and complex with an extraordinarily smooth finish. It is 40% ABV and made from UK-grown grain.

In other words, it’s light years beyond the gin you are using – or even most lounges! So you need to try this one. These drinks won’t taste nearly as good without the SW4 London Dry Gin!

BEE’S KNEES #2 (A super tasty cocktail from the 1920’s)

SW4---Bees-Knees

Glass: Martini

Garnish: Orange zest twist

Method:
In base of shaker STIR honey with gin until honey dissolves. Add lemon and orange juice, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

2 shots SW4 London dry gin

3 tsps Runny honey (thin, warm honey. Not thick but syrupy)

1 shot Freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 shot Freshly squeezed orange juice

The Bramble is a nice silky drink with a good shot of blackberry. It’s fun and while fitting for summer, it’s got a bit of a kick if it’s very warm and/or you haven’t eaten. So grab some small bites and let this one go down slowly.

The Bees Knees is similar in the fruit aspect but it’s more citrus while has a bit more bite to it.

BRAMBLE

Glass: Old-fashioned

Garnish: Blackberries & lemon slice

Method: SHAKE first three ingredients with ice and strain into glass filled with crushed ice.
DRIZZLE liqueur over drink to create a ‘bleeding’ effect in the glass.
Serve with short straws.

2 shots SW4 London dry gin

1 shot Freshly squeezed lemon juice

½ shot Sugar syrup

½ shot Blackberry Liqueur (Marie Brizard® creme de mure or any Blackberry liqueur)

Enjoy your Sunday. Hopefully where you are it’s sunny and warm. If not, make one if not both of these cocktails. If it is, make at least one of these cocktails and save the other for another night during the week (Thursday for TGIT!)

  1. Now, SW4 is the postcode where I used to live for many years. I’m quite amused.

This kind of artisan drink is all the rage over here, but I never knew they distilled in Clapham..!
