Hot Summer Swimwear for Now + Later! Lybethras, Trunkettes & Voda Swim Make Waves!
We are now seriously into summer. And based on this weekend’s reports.. either you want to buy some new swimwear because you didn’t until you saw what all your BFF’s and others were wearing OR you did buy something and find that it looks sort of “meh” or it doesn’t quite fit as well as you would like! Good for you, because now is the time that swimwear goes on sale. Not all brand mind you, but stuff in department stores which you can go through a gazillion swimsuits and find something you like (good luck!) or you can head to your local bathing suit shop and test drive things there. While I can’t guarantee sales at all locations or on all brands, you can find something really interesting.. whether it’s on sale or not.
I found some cool lines of swimwear that have been featured in Sports Illustrated either this year or previous years that you can check out some amazing suits — either one piece or two pieces.
Lybethras Swim featured in Sports Illustrated’s 50th Anniversary Swim Issue!
Here’s another swimsuit in the same print as the SI swimsuits:
The Lulu Love Beach Bikini features a classic bikini triangle top. The top is fully adjustable for that perfect fit but stays on securely through ties behind the neck and back. The top is shown in the Love Beach pattern.
The bottom is an adjustable sliding scoop front and back that adjusts to be thinner or wider, depending on your mood. Sold normally in Brazilian or Moderate cut bottoms.
The Love Beach bikinis are bikinis that are in the same collection as the bikinis featured in the Sports Illustrated 2014 Swimsuit Edition. Lybethras bikini swimsuits are handmade from high quality materials and will give many seasons of exotic sunbathing.
Liana Halter Bikini $171 reg. price; current price: $128
This is Lybethras’ standard Halter top that matches any style and any type of bust. It ties on neck and back halter top with snake gold detail on center. This halter ties at neck and back. The adjustable sliding triangle lets you choose more or less coverage and it has removable pads. Full lined. Ruched side bikini bottom features snake gold detail. This bottom sits low and straight across the hips and is fully lined.
The Isadora OnePiece Swimsuit provides full front coverage with sexy straps in back tied to a gold ring. The bathing suit is shown in the Amalfi pattern and is available in 17 colors and 7 other patterns.
I like this suit because it’s perfect for the pool or beach. It’s on-trend for fashion and it could be worn as a body suit with pants, jeans or shorts during the day or night. The cut gives you some sun protection as well as helps enhance your curves!
The Suzanne OnePiece Swimsuit is a sexy single shoulder strap reversible swimsuit with a gold medallion on the ruched strap that is available in 17 colors and 8 prints (including this one).
The Jen Bikini $220
The Jen Bikini is trend-sensitive bikini with details of pink gold chains forming fringes on the front of the top. The bottom is scrunched in the middle of the back and has unique Lybethras detail with stones and tilapia leather. This bottom is available in one of four configurations:
G-string cut, a sexy Brazilian cut, a moderate cut, or a full-coverage style that covers almost everything.
This great line has been featured before on this blog. It’s a very fun, sexy line that works for almost everyone courtesy of tankinis, one-piece bathing suits and bikinis (and lots of them) in tons of colors and prints!
Bora Bora Envy Push-up Top and Double String Bikini $120 (top and bottom as shown) (BoraBora refers to the PRINT)
This is the Envy Push-up top that gives less busty women some cleavage and it’s amplified by the double string neck-tie. The bottom has double-string ties as well. There is ruching on the butt to create dimension as well.
Scarlet Stripe String Bikini-$110 (Scarlet Stripe refers to the pattern color)
Stripes are big this year and this bikini sizzles with the print. Why not try a single string bikini? It’s minimalist effect is very interesting with the classic mini-stripe and very fashionable color!
IF you want more stomach coverage, this is definitely an option! It gives that woman a chance to be sexy and confident while the fringe is visually enhancing the bustline (to look larger) and draws attention to the bustline when one moves! The shape of the monokini creates an illusion of a smaller waist while adding the illusion of curves and creating an hourglass shape.
This swimsuit is amazing! It adds 1 to 2 cup sizes in the bustline but the ruching across the length of the stomach and tummy control provide a great journey to create a slimmer silhouette as well as a fashionable look! There is a tie at the low point of the back. This is available in at least 7 colors!
This retro-inspired swimwear is great for someone who wants more coverage! The Envy Push Up ® Ruched Halter Top with criss-cross back creates a great deal of interest.
The high-waisted bottom provides more coverage but still leaves some bare skin! Available in 2 solids and 1 print!
Complete with optional straps, the bandeau is a great alternative for strapless sun tanning or active beach going. Pairs well with the Shirred Band Bottom as shown and both are available in 6 colors and one print! The bandeau would be great under another shirt for regular fashion use!
A new player on the block, Trunkettes has interesting styling that works a pair of shorts or “trunks” to be an additional item to the swimsuit so that you can create the more modest look you might want out on the street, going to the car, a restaurant or just around friends. The swimsuits themselves are razor-sharp and on trend with sexy looks. Each style is different while still being able to get them in various colors! All three that I am featuring were included in the Sports Illustrated layout! Unfortunately all the Sports Illustrated styles are sold out!
Patches and Lace! $169 including the trunks!
Cute look with a great bikini with a patchwork style print and lace trim. The trunks have the same details on solid body and a lace tie at the waist.
Aqua-Mod -$174 including the trunks (sold out)
This print is a turquoise and white plaid trimmed with little flowers on the straps and the top of the bottom.
A retro look, it is enhanced with the solid color trunks that are trimmed in the plaid.
Yellow Gingham -$133
A pale yellow gingham print swimsuit paired with a denim short and yellow gingham ruffle at the bottom hem of the shorts. It’s sweet but not without it’s own sexy edge!
Keep checking the Trunkettes site for more stock. There are older styles available that you can purchase and some are even on sale!
Stay tuned to this blog for more summer fashion blasts!
