Fast + Fabulous Easter Decorations: 4 DIY Projects to Create the Most Gorgeous Easter Eggs!

I like Easter, but not a fan of the mess of Easter egg dying. It’s crazy enough that I wind up with fingers that are multi-colored but clothing and furniture, not so much! Here are 4 really unique Easter egg projects (one courtesy of Martha Stewart) that I think almost anyone can do. Some do take time. I do know this post is a bit last minute but forewarned is fore-armed and thus you can make your own decisions.

From FabFitFun is this amazing project for Easter Egg Decoration:DIY Egg Decorating with Metallic Tattoos

FabFitFun Editor-in-Chief Katie Rosen Kitchens and Lifestyle Editor Tasha Ball take viewers through the process in a fun springtime video which hits the site today.

Using the eye-catching Yasi metallic tattoos featured in the FabFitFun Spring subscription box, the team’s step-by-step video tutorial teaches viewers the creative new way to decorate their eggs with just a handful of supplies easily found at home. (You don’t have to use expensive tattoos. You can buy other types online that will work– but will you get the same result? Maybe. You get what you pay for hence my recommendation to use them on plastic eggs so that they last and you don’t have to toss them out!)

What I like about this project is that it’s easy peasy way to use tattoos (metallic or any sort of color) over any kind of egg. They recommend cooked eggs. (My tip and twist on this: use the plastic eggs as seen below in the next project and spray paint those. No problem with eggs going bad!)

Beaded Easter Egg Decorating from Pins and Things!

This is a fun new way to decorate Easter eggs that I had never tried before! It was really easy and fun too. I think they look great and the metallic beads really give the eggs a classy look! Happy Decorating!

This is pretty easy in terms of getting the project done, though the cost of the beads might be more than you think. That said, if you buy online in bulk or split with a fellow DIY-er, you might find this an AWESOME way to gift people amazing crafted eggs that would become cherished pieces of art for Easter or at any time of year.

For the GAME of THRONES fans (of which I am one), here’s one more egg tutorial I could not resist. Granted you might not have this finished until
next Easter (or next week)

Due to a calculation error, the designer of this egg found that she had to make 2 more batches of pins for this “Dragon’s Egg”. The first round of pins was 150 pins so figure you will need closer to 500 pins.

  1. These projects are all done by the people I have featured. NONE have been done by me. That said, I could see me using the tattoos I get in swag bags and some of the broken jewelry as well as beads and faux gems to create these things. They would make great gifts (3 or 4 done in plastic that are weighted inside the egg) or decor to be left out all year.

  2. These are much better than the corny ones with decals. This also allows for artistic expression more easily. I love the beaded one…very cool.
