Vbiger Gloves: Fashionable + Affordable Gloves that Work with Your Smartphone! #Review

People always complain about their smartphones being difficult to register content correctly that they type or dictate into those same phones. It’s a common complaint. It takes time to make sure the message you want to send or the tasks you are trying to complete on your smartphone is being processed correctly. Worse yet, the impact of cold weather requires that you wear gloves when you are out and about. While I have worn mittens with removable shells to be able to answer a phone or check status, I still have to remove the shell because the phone won’t accept covered digits’ input. Removing those gloves makes using the phone take much longer– and the colder it is, the longer it will take. (Here in LA, cold temperatures in Southern California can range from the low 30’s to below freezing.)

The question is what’s a girl to do to protect her hands, her nails and still use her phone. My mittens were not helping me solve this issue. I was scouting online for “smartphone”-friendly gloves that allowed me to use the phone without the hassle of removing the gloves or exposing fingers to the elements via “fingerless” gloves. I also wanted thinner fingers but still protected and warm via the gloves. My requirements were complicated by wanting the “cute” factor to color my search.

I was recently contacted by a vendor who had the perfect gloves that would allow me to use my smartphone with their special “outdoor touchscreen gloves”. They had no idea I was looking for just such a glove and their reason to contact me was to ask me if they could give me gloves in exchange for a review.

Disclosure: I was provided the gloves so that I could review them on my blog and on Amazon.com Getting the sample product for review in no way affects the quality or integrity of my review. My opinions are my own.

REVIEW:

I bought this specific glove in red/purple in a size small. I have small hands and often buy XS but after reading reviews, I knew I needed to size up one step. I bought the small and it fits well. It’s a bit snug but that’s what I want. I don’t want baggy gloves.

These gloves allow you dexterity to use smartphone or tablet without removing the gloves. It’s very effective but you do need to make sure the glove’s traction portion on the fingers (particularly the index or thumb)that
do the work. It works really well for that.

Palm of the glove. (You can see the considerable amount of traction material they have applied to these gloves!)

I had planned on buying new gloves because I was using a mitten that has a fingerless option that took the mitten part off. The mittens were a bit baggy on my hands but it was inconvenient to remove the mitten cover to check my smartphone and then replace the mitten part.

These gloves work great for my needs. The reason why I gave this brand 4 stars and not five because I don’t have quite the dexterity to deal with my dog’s needs when I am walking the dog in early AM when I need to dig out treats and tie up little plastic baggies. (You know what the baggies are for right?) I had hoped that there was more dexterity to the gloves than they have. They are infinitely better than my mittens though so I am happy.
I do not know if they are washable. I am assuming that they can be washed on gentle cycle and they should be allowed to air dry. The material is warm but not fuzzy or cozy.

This is my review from Amazon.com. I like the gloves very much. There is a learning curve to using them, so be prepared to learn. It’s not hard nor does it take a long time. My fingers are never cold anymore!!
