Vote for Your Favorite Entry in 3rd Annual “Art of Patrón” Bottle Art Contest! Voting Ends 11/13!

I love what Patrón does with their business. They are known for great tequila and unique iterations of spirits [Cafe XO and Citronge) that are in sync with the company mission. I like how innovative they have become to engage those who love tequila in connecting with the brand in ways that don’t always revolve imbibing. The “Art of Patrón” Bottle Art Contest is what I am talking about. It’s all about the bottle and not necessarily what’s inside of it. The iconic bottle is quickly recognized as a Patrón bottle. Now Patrón has turned that bottle more than upside down but inside out so that artists and fans can create something new and unusual with the bottle itself. Now the contest is down to 10 finalists and you get to participate in who becomes the winner – by voting.
The voting on the various entries is going on now and will close out on Sunday, 11/13! Vote HERE

As you read the information about this contest, I have included photos of only five of the finalists. The other five are equally worth going to the site and seeing what they have done!( My choices were completely random in the same manner that the list of finalists was compiled for the announcement.

Since the brand’s inception, Patrón’s glass bottle has served as an iconic symbol of the brand and its premium craftsmanship. Over time it has also become a source of inspiration for creatives and artists who have gone to great lengths to transform Patrón bottles into visual and functional works of art. After recognizing the popularity of repurposed Patrón bottles among fans and artists, Patrón initiated the “Art of Patrón” Bottle Art Contest to encourage fans to share their own unique artistry using the brand’s signature tequila bottles for the chance to win $10,000, and national exposure.

This year’s final pieces have been narrowed down from hundreds of entries and are as innovative as the brand they symbolize. The top ten contenders who submitted an original work of art inspired by the Patrón tequila bottle now vie for the public’s vote (at www.ArtofPatron.com) to become this year’s Grand Prize winner.

“From our iconic bottle to the quality of the spirit inside, Patrón tequila is truly a work of art,” said Lee Applbaum, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Patrón Spirits. “It’s always so inspiring to see how our bottle stimulates such creativity and individual expression, two important qualities embodied in the phenomenal works of art that were submitted in this year’s Art of Patrón bottle art contest,”

To enter the contest, applicants created an original work of art that contained, was made from, or depicted any Patrón bottle or component thereof. Along with the art, entrants submitted a short essay describing their piece and the inspiration behind it.

After analyzing the wide variety of entries – from elaborate bird feeders and intricate lamps to free flowing waterfalls – a panel of judges (representing artisans, past Art of Patrón winners, and members of the spirits community) selected the top ten designs. The judges based their votes on the entries’ overall creativity, unique use or representation of the Patrón bottle, visual appeal, and the persuasiveness of the essay.

The 2016 top ten finalists are (in no particular order):

● “Patrón Windchime” submitted by Catherine Tynan from Apex, NC
● “Puesta Del Sol de Tequila” submitted by Eileen Serletic from Indianapolis, IN
● “Bridges Not Walls” submitted by Marconi Calindas from Palm Springs, CA
● “Patrón Tequila 2015 Limited Edition Pendant Lamp” submitted by Windell Reyes from Carson City, NV
● “The Art of Relaxation” submitted by Scott Innes from Philadelphia, PA
● “Eat & Drink” submitted by Diana Tabarez from Fontana, CA
● “Patrón Copper Fountain” submitted by Mark Tynan from Apex, NC
● “Simply Timeless” submitted by Jana Keener from Kansas City, MO
● “Cuezaltzin, Aztec Lord Of Fire” submitted by John Graziano from Davenport, FL
● “Clearly Agave” submitted by Chris Chappell from Louisville, Ky

The ten finalists will be featured through November 13, at 11:59 p.m. ET, on the Art of Patrón website, www.ArtofPatron.com, where passionate Patrón fans and consumers can help select one lucky artist as the Grand Prize winner.

The applicant with the highest combined votes from both the public and judging vote will be announced on or about December 6, 2016, and awarded $10,000, along with the opportunity for national exposure for his or her work of art. The remaining nine finalists will each receive $1,000.
