WHO:
Local Band Hangout continues with performances by Long Beach natives: Tall Walls, MOVE, and Bundy.

TallWalls

Tall Walls, influenced by artists such as Buddy Holly, The Ramones, and The Arctic Monkeys brings sun-drenched power pop to Southern California. Winners of Long Beach’s Buskerfest 2015, Tall Walls’ up-tempo, brassy, melodic tunes feature minute attention to detail, social commentary, and declarations of unconditional love.

MOVE, a self-described “musical collaborative”, brings a stylistic variety of Long Beach musical talent that even features special guest songwriters. In addition to their performance at The Queen Mary, MOVE has a monthly residency at Bixby Knolls First Fridays.

Bundy’s sound can be described as eclectic, yet bombastic. Influenced by bands like Television, Ought, Parque Courts, and Talking Heads, Bundy strives to tell painful stories through heavy post-punk drumming, growling Bass, and searing reverberating guitar.

About the Observation Bar
1930’s sophistication and style, the Observation Bar and Art Deco Lounge is the playground of the cool. Classic and chic, the Observation Bar was formerly the First-Class Lounge and served as the hub for lively discussions over delicious drinks. Original artwork still hangs above the bar, which is lined with Art Deco tables, chairs and decor. Completing the 30’s look are distinct torchiere lamps, which give the room a soft, retro glow. So order a cocktail, sit back and enjoy this treasured downtown tradition.

Don’t miss these great events occurring this weekend and into next week in downtown Long Beach! Long Beach is not as far as you think it is! With friends you can use the carpool lane and be in downtown Long Beach in a jiffy.
