Habit Burger Revisits NO Kid Hungry!! Buy a Hatch Chile Meal! Get Free Burger Coupon!

The Habit Burger is exploring the delicious tastes of Hatch Chiles through the return of their seasonal Hatch Chile menu.

The Habit Burger Grill has teamed up with No Kid Hungry to help kids struggling with hunger.
Beginning August 31 through the end of September, The Habit is raising funds to help kids in need with nutritious meals. Guests who donate $2 or more to No Kid Hungry will receive a coupon for a free charburger with cheese, good on a return visit.

As a delicious backdrop to this campaign, The Habit is hosting its own Hatch Chile festival, tapping into the chile that’s having its own culinary moment. The Habit chargrills each chile over an open flame to bring out the smoky flavor and deepen the savory taste in the new, limited time Hatch Chile menu items, which include:

The Charity and Promotion:
For the third year, The Habit is continuing its fight against childhood hunger in partnership with No Kid Hungry. On Aug. 29, the Habit is kicking off a fundraiser, offering guests who donate $2 or more a free charburger. Last year The Habit raised more than $400,000 that provided more than four million meals for kids in need, and have set a $400,000 goal for this year.

NO CHILD HUNGRY:
One in five kids in the U.S. struggles with hunger. The Habit Burger Grill, together with its loyal guests, is committed to changing this. The Habit will be collecting donations for No Kid Hungry and offering guests, who donate $2 or more to the No Kid Hungry campaign, a free Charburger with Cheese certificate, good on a return visit now through the end of September.

“We are excited to have The Habit Burger participate in their second Dine Out for No Kid Hungry promotion this September,” said Billy Shore, Founder and CEO of Share Our Strength, which operates the No Kid Hungry campaign. “They are a valued partner that lends their special energy and commitment to our cause, and we’re grateful for their support in helping us end child hunger in the United States.”

“We don’t take for granted the value of a quality meal, and for millions of Americans, especially children, those meals don’t always come easily. That’s why supporting No Kid Hungry is so important to us, and why we want to give something back to the communities we serve and our loyal guests who support this effort,” said Russ Bendel, CEO of The Habit Burger Grill.

Last year The Habit contributed $200,000 to No Kid Hungry, providing more than 2 million meals to kids.
“Our hope to significantly increase this support and help more kids across the country,” added Bendel.
On September 1, Bendel will be joined by No Kid Hungry executives to ring the NASDAQ opening bell together to call attention to the issue of childhood hunger in America.

No Kid Hungry is to make childhood hunger a thing of the past. In partnership with local programs, No Kid Hungry works with children and families how to shop on a budget and cook healthier meals.
