Toronto Film Festival Beauty Breakdown: Kate Mara Looks Stunning with Votre Vu!

Coleen Campbell-Olwell says that as Kate’s dress was a black with accents of light blue and purple they wanted to keep the makeup in the same color family.

“The look created was monochromatic, feminine, yet strong.”

Coleen Campbell-Olwell started by evening the skin tone using Votre Vu’s Attentive day cream.

-The foundation was then applied using Armani’s Luminous Silk foundation and under the eyes was concealed to brighten using Nars Radiant Creamy concealer.
The contouring was then created with D&G bronzer.

-The beautiful blush on the apples of her cheeks was Votre Vu’s Beauté en Bronze in Tahiti.

-Her brows were styled using the Dior brow styler.

-Kate Mara’s standout eye look was created using Votre Vu’s Palette Play in Copper.

Campbell-Olwell describes how she “washed the entire eye with the burgundy shade [gilt] and also swept it two-thirds of the way under her eye. The shimmer in the shade opened up the eye beautifully.”

-She then framed the eye using Votre Vu’s Le Joli Crayon eyeliner in Violectra at the corners.

“I wanted to pull out the color and add strength to contrast the playful chignon of the hair”

-Votre Vu’s Eiffel Power mascara was then used to darken and lengthen Kate’s naturally long lashes.

-Campbell-Olwell told that Kate does not normally use product on her legs but she did use Votre Vu’s Silk Stocking in color Classic for this look as it completely blends into the skin tone.

“I love the way Silk Stockings melts into the skin, it evens it out without looking to obvious, it really is like stockings”

-To finish the look and pull everything together Campbell-Olwell used Votre Vu’s French Kiss Lipstick in shade Margaux. This berry red shade was applied with full coverage to stand out and create a nice full lip.

Campbell-Olwell says that “after the lipstick went on I then outlined the lips with Votre Vu’s Drawmatic Lip Liner in Sizzle. This warm tone strengthened the overall color of the lips. Using the same colors throughout the look was powerful, beautiful, and bold.”
