THE ORIGINS OF CLEAN BEAUTY
The clean beauty phenomenon originally took shape up north; after all, Scandinavians have always been at the forefront of environmental responsibility and recycling. These days, women are increasingly noticing that their skin is becoming vulnerable, and they are in search of skin care products that are gentle on their skin and share their concern for the environment.

–LEONOR GREYL bottles and containers are made from PET, one of the five materials recycled by Eco Emballage.
–The brand stopped producing plastic bags in 2015 and replaced them with eco-friendly paper bags.
–Their brand-new partnership with “La Collecte du Coiffeur” is also in keeping with that commitment, as some of their energy-generating packaging (such as dye tubes and aerosols) can be eliminated in accordance with current environmental standards.
LEONOR GREYL FORMULAS
Just like his father-in-law and predecessor Jean-Marie Greyl, David Brooks, Director of Research & Development, uses natural (preferably organic) ingredients to the greatest extent possible in his formulations, while also taking the traceability of components into consideration.
“The quality of the products we manufacture is a high priority,” notes Caroline Greyl, President of the company. “Because they are Made in France, we are able to carefully monitor our products and ensure consumer safety.”
The brand has always made it a point of honor to focus on quality, whether in the selection of ingredients and plants or in the development of its formulas.
LEONOR GREYL selects its raw materials from all over the world, again with an emphasis on quality. The brand’s suppliers must guarantee the selection and traceability of materials with physicochemical analysis.
“Wherever possible, we shorten and optimize the supply chain by giving preference to local suppliers – without compromising quality, of course,” adds David Brooks.
“We also prioritize partnerships, co-ops, and respect for individuals’ labor; that, too, is one of our commitments.”
