Jennifer Coolidge’s Hair Is Coiffed by Celebrity Hairstylist Marc Mena– Using Better-Not Younger
On Monday 9/12, Jennifer Coolidge went from The White Lotus resort in Hawaii to the storied beaches of the South of France—metaphorically, of course.
Celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena gave Emmy WINNER Coolidge a look that captures the effortless Mediterranean glamour of 60s icons like Bridget Bardot
and Sophia Loren. Better Not Younger haircare was the mode of transportation and transformation.
Better Not Younger is the first haircare brand developed specifically for women over 40.
“I love that this line is packed with ingredients that nourish the hair and scalp—even the styling products!” says Mena.
To create Coolidge’s full, soft style, he chose BNY’s Wake Up Call volumizing products, which all contain a signature combination of ingredients including biotin,
hops, burdock, and bamboo, plus moisture-grabbing glycerin.
To prep, Coolidge washed and conditioned her hair with Better Not Younger Wakeup Call Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner. Mena then sprayed
the Lift Me Up Hair Thickener all-over and blew out Coolidge’s hair with a medium-sized ceramic brush. Next came, “a classic roller set for volume and va-va-voom.”
When the rollers came out, Mena protected Coolidge’s strands with No Remorse Heat Protection & Taming Spray before he took a 1.5” curling iron and
gave the hair a soft wave at the ends.
“There was a lot of teasing going on, too,” says Mena. “We didn’t want height at the root, but we did want volume,” so Mena sectioned off Coolidge’s hair, spritzed it with the Lift Me Up Hair Thickener, the teased it with a fine tooth comb. To finish, he shaped and smoothed her hair with a Mason Pearson brush and misted it with BNY’s latest, the Wake Up Call High Hold Thickening Hairspray. “It’s a fabulous hairspray,” says Mena. “It gives me the flexibility to work with the hair, but still has an impressive amount of hold.” More than enough to last through a long night of stars and celebrations!
