Charlize Theron with her tee!
The exclusive shirts are available this fall at retailers (price: $48,00 and up) with fifty percent of proceeds directly benefiting the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project. The men’s and women’s cotton shirts (made in Los Angeles) are available in variety of colors featuring the South African Baobab tree and CTAOP motto–Look Within, Think Beyond and Reach Out,”– emblazoned on the tees.
Mullen stated, “
It is such an honor to work alongside Charlize, we have great admiration her work with Africa Outreach Project. My company began with creating a simple shirt to help raise money for MS, as I am afflicted with this disease, so to be partnering with Charlize to help the youth of Africa is very exciting.”
Theron commented,
“Give and Take is a socially responsible company and I’m thrilled to have their support. The kids that are being helped through my African Outreach Project are so incredible and vibrant. These t-shirts capture the spirit of South Africa and give everyone a way to help.”
Charlize Theron’s Africa Outreach Project aims to help create a safer, healthier and better life for the young people in South Africa especially those living in remote areas. Currently, the project works in the Umkanyakude District in the KwaZulu-Natal Province. Adolescents growing up there have almost a fifty percent chance of being infected with HIV during their lifetime. The CTAOP wants to bring awareness to the urgent need to provide health, education and recreational resources. Proceeds from the GIVE AND TAKE tees will go towards CTAOP’s latest initiative that was timed with the 2010 World Cup to build soccer fields and a athletic program providing a a greatly needed recreational outlet in this district.

GIVE AND TAKE vintage-inspired graphic tees show the world it is “cool to care” by allowing you to fashionably wear your heart on your chest, not just your sleeve. Founded and designed by Shea Mullen, also of Good Chemistry Design and CoCo’s Cupcake Café, the tees are printed on 100 percent custom dyed and aged cotton shirts and were each inspired and named after a different person in Mullen’s life. National vendors including Barney’s, Kitson, Scoop, Fred Segal, Urban Outfitters, Shop Intuition, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdale’s have picked up Mullen’s message, and they have already began to sell out as a “must have” item. GIVE AND TAKE includes men’s and women’s shirts that retail starting at $48 and can be ordered online via Give and Take with free shipping! http://www.giveandtaketees.com/
