DIFIABA Italian Hair Color & B2V Give Me an Enlightening Hair Experience!

For as long as I have covered the LA scene, I have never been to B2V. I have been to tons of salons- with good to great results and a few times with some really sad results (hair that turned orange, cuts that were just wrong.) So I take each invitation to come see a salon with a touch of skepticism because in LA, you wonder about celebrity salons and how much that celebrity factor affects how regular customers get treated.

When I walked into B2V (after running around the block to find parking a couple times), I was open to a new experience because I knew I was going to hear about a fantastic new hair color line. Realize that I had hit both Hawaii and upstate east coast to sit on a Finger Lake on a boat for more than a week and my hair color was not the same as it was before I went to Hawaii. No matter how much protection I used and I had a great hat too, the color changed. I was ready to try just about anything to fix it (and I had done some "at-home fixes" with box hair color too!).

What I got was a warm, friendly greeting that was so different from any other salon I had been to in LA. These people acted like I was not only a regular customer but an old friend! I lead to the changing room and when I emerged, I was taken to a chair pronto with DIFIABA's Director of Education and Master Colorist Roman Wadsworth checking out my hair and discussing what to do about the "unusual color". We discussed the product at great length before I even shot the video so that I would be informed about what was going on. What I have to say about Roman is this: GENIUS!

Wow. Super-impressed, I found that we were talking like we had known each other for eons and I was extremely comfortable being candid about the condition of my hair and what I had done (and things that went wrong) on my hair.

He had this great idea to take the warm tones and mix it up with some caramel and also some nordic cool blonde tones highlights for greater depth and dimension in my hair color. He even went into several layers underneath to create a bit more sizzle.

The interesting part of the process is that he "foiled" my hair at a 45 degree angle to my face as opposed to the horizontal layers of symmetrical color. What the 45 degree does is create a unique definition and dimension so that your color is not even a hint of chunk or bland -- but an amazing blend of hues.. all over your head. Wow-- talk about mind-blowing color. That was huge! Plus I didn't look like I was going to start picking up satellite waves either.

About B2V

This is a cottage that's full of light and great comfortable chairs. It's got even better shampoo bowls and chairs that have you feeling like you could sleep there. It's amazing.
While I didn't have a chance to wander around, everyone offered me cappucinos, water, even sandwiches.

The ambience is very relaxing, casual and other stylists will stop by (and did) to talk to other stylists about what they were doing. It was fascinating because it was so informal and they were interested in making sure I looked good-- that everyone there looked good.

They have a variety of products, the newest is the DIFIABA Italian hair color line. It smells gorgeous. It feels amazing. It doesn't require me to sit for an hour to "take". It's quite a different experience.

I met the owners, other stylists and even the make-up artist/aesthetician as well as the killer shampoo person. She was awesome.

What made the experience (suddenly it was 3 hours later and I had no clue it had been so long) was that when I left, I didn't have a parking ticket on my windshield from being in a 2 hour parking zone. The hair gods must have been smiling on me because they gave me a very very good day.

Thank you to Roman Wadsworth, DIFIABA and B2V for an experience I won't forget.
The hair color rocks!! .
