It's time for another podcast of 2 people from the FRAGment's event: this time we have Yosh Han representing Yosh Olfactory Sense and Persephenie from Persephenie Studio This was an amazing event and this is one way for you to partake in the event without spending a ton of money! Given that managed to miss two people at the event, I figured I would give them the option to do a phone podcast with me. Tres cool, they both accepted. Roxana Villa and Mik Moi were kind enough to give me some significant time. Since it is truly a gift, I wasn't just going to talk solely about FRAGments but also fragrance creation and the impetus and inspiration for their own work. It was fascinating! The first of two 30+ minute interviews here to give you more insight into what a indie fragrance designer does and how hard they work -- because it is a lot of work and requires an incredible amount of patience. Roxana's Illuminated Fragrances had an amazing display at FRAGments 2013 and she displayed the following fragrances: Roxana displayed six scents at the FRAGments show! The two most important that Roxana mentioned are listed here. Seductive, grounding and hypnotic, they are worth trying the samples of each one. When a couple of fragrance designer get into their groove when talking to someone like me, it's a wonderful thing! It happened a lot with the people at FRAGments, What happens when LIFE happens prior to a special event like FRAGments? When a couple of fragrance designer get into their groove when talking to someone like me, it's a wonderful thing! It happened a lot with the people at FRAGments, but you can tell ( I HOPE!) that these two podcasts were something special. Emerging from the haze of natural fragrance essences from being in the back of the gallery, the heady experience of talking scents while breathing in such intoxicating aromas was making me loopy - for lack of a better term. Fun and interesting but not me at my finest. However since people like Mario Gomez were experiencing the same thing. Walking up to the front of the gallery, the breeze was picking up through the open door and it was blissfully cooler too. Thus talking to Sweet Anthem's Meredith Smnith and JK DeLapp was me coming off of a fragrant high into something that required more - more what I am not sure but I certainly had an education by them in talking about scents and I took whatever I had learned and ran with it. I think you might learn more about the business and what it takes to make it in the indie fragrance world from JK DeLapp and Meredith Smith-- both accomplished fragrance people. Mario Gomez, a noted fragrance afficionado stepped in for these fragrance houses and was able to best explain to me the newest scents along with scents coming back for another visit!
