Author It’s now 2012 and it’s time to think about all the stuff you got for the holidays. Gifts you got, things you bought for you — or others– to wear. Think hard about this because it’s really a time and money-saver in some ways.

Christmas Wishes and Champagne Dreams.. Santa, Reindeer and Magic!
I remember as a child I loved Christmas. I couldn’t stand the wait for presents. I was really little and my brother and I work up early and my mother had made the mistake of hiding all the gifts until some evening and then putting them out while we were asleep. What does a 3 or 4 year old do when they wake up and suddenly find packages under the tree? But of course!! It’s Christmas and Santa has been there. Paper ripping and kids playing with toys (my brother got a fire truck and I got a toy oven) woke my mother up who was absolutely furious with us. I will never forget the look on her face and that she had to take the presents away from us.

Thanksgiving: What Do You Have to Be Thankful For?
Thanksgiving is an interesting time of year. We get into a frenzy of family and feasting and then we jump right into the insanity of Black Friday– which this year we might as well express some thanks that people are going to be shopping and that some stores have started their sales more than a week early.
