Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal is the sizzling new face for Armani Jeans ad campaign that debuted August 25. The 20-foot tall image was revealed by Rafa in person on the main floor of Macy’s Herald Square.

There has been no trip back east for me — ever — that didn’t involve some shopping (*and some absolutely required shoes as my friend Anita would tell you after I walked NYC in stilettos. dumb dumb dumb).
While in upstate NY, it’s a little different but there are places you can go to wear nice shoes and other places where you wear sandals or athletic shoes. But in the Finger Lakes region, they do have some GREAT stores. I happened (just like last year- but a few weeks later than last year) to show up for their annual sidewalk sale. The “300″ store which is located at 300 block corner of the main drag is the hot spot for fashionistas seeking au courrant bargains.

This was a wild way to wind up this trip. It was truly crazy. I had a few things going on and we did wind it up in amazing fashion.. with despite some surprising weather, we also had a couple of visitors from Canada and Massachusetts.

When one lives near a lake or visits a lake, you pretty much expect to be on the lake– a LOT!! So here are some photos of people that I was seeing while visiting upstate New York. We are all on the lake and it’s a very long day. The photos from this particular collection are from the day that was 100+ on the lake and the glacier lake that is over 200 feet deep was in the 10-20 foot shallow depths about 80 degrees. So it was time to hang out, get wet and share a few bottles and treats.

One of the best things about this area is that you sometimes need to turn down lanes or hike into areas where you don’t really know what you will find — to find something inspiring and amazing. I had a great time exploring (the other fashion exploring is for another post!)

Celebrity Style Slam: Grammys 2012: Walking the Red Carpet Trashionista Style!
This is the return of Celebrity STyle Slam for Grammys 2012. Interesting because it’s been changed up a bit– to make it more interesting and faster reading for you. Also we have Nancy Lichtenstein who has covered Celebrity Style Slam before with me plus fashion designer Karen Starr Delloiacono to make it a trio of us talking about what came down the red carpet dresses/outfits that should have never left the showroom, house or hotel.
Here are five women who thought they were being edgy when they just went beyond edgy into either costumes — or just “what were you thinking” fashion mode. Some of them might have worked better without the accessories or accoutrements. Nancy, Karen and I –+ one tech guy– weigh in on what’s right and wwrong with these outfits.
