Clinique’s Lid Smoothie: Is This a Great Product or Is It a YMMV Situation?
Clinique came out with this new product called “Lid Smoothie Antioxidant 8-Hour Eye Color”. It launched in August and I was sent a few colors to try and I had a contributor (Lark Lennox) try a couple. However I am trying a couple too.

Is Your Phone Bill a Little Higher? Are You Seeing Unexplained Charges? You Have Been CRAMMED!!
You get your phone bill and you find that it’s a little higher than the previous month– maybe by $10-$15. Or it could be as much as $30!! If you see these charges listed under addtional or miscellaneous fees section of your phone bill, you best contact your carrier and find out WHO is getting this money because you most likely have been CRAMMED!!

Great Gifts for DAD!! Tech & Gadget Fun for the Geeky Guy!
Gadgets and tech toys are often a guy’s way to defuse or get engaged in something interesting. Maybe this is the same guy that would have been out in the garage or backyard building something with monster power tools but wouldn’t be able to have a conversation and now these are gadgets that allow them to be “manly men” without losing the Home Improvement sort of cachet– it’s just a different sort of “Home Improvement.”

Botox for Kids? NJ Legislature Moves to Ban. Nancy Lichtenstein Weighs In
I was astonished this week– and glued to the TV set- to watch the Brittany and her mom defend the use of Botox on an 8 year old child. I am not sure who’s got their head on backwards — but for sure Good Morning America’s Lara Spencer was as outraged at the risk that the mom (Kerry) took with her own daughter’s health.

The Intersection of Cell Phones, Texting & Driving Could Be the Death of Someone!
This essay/commentary/editorial was submitted by a reader. This is something SERIOUS! Here in California we have some pretty serious laws about texting while driving ($159 for the first ticket, $500 for the second) as well as driving and talking on a cellphone without a hands-free device. The important thing to remember is that hands-free doesn’t mean distraction-free though so the police hand out tickets for reckless driving since DUI doesn’t include cell phones. Real Steel, The WhistleBlower, Ides of March & TV Shows Worth Your Viewing Time — OR NOT!
Right before Oscars announcements there are typically a slew of movies from the year previous that come out on DVD & Blu-Ray. Here’s the some of the latest ones I have seen: either in theater or on DVD or both! (Yes there is a difference in the presentation but sometimes you get extras on the DVD/Blu-Ray that is truly bonus material) . Here’s what’s coming out on 1/24 and some are already out!
