Can a Celebrity Cause You a Fashion Disaster?Check Out What Happens!

Amanda Platell, a UK writer for DailyMail, com splurged on a high end designer dress or "frock" as the British like to call it for her vacation. Granted that it's not uncommon for one to buy something that a celebrity or well-known person has -- but in this case poor Amanda was devastated to get texted while on vacation by her niece that Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, not only had the same dress, but was a total fashion disaster.

I think Michaela Jedinak, UK Stylist who works with me on the Celebrity Style Slam would be in horror that the "Fergie" would be seen looking like this. The rumpled dress that doesn't fit her well, even the gold shoes don't work well in this outfit. The color does her no favors either. This is a fashion "NO", a faux pas that can't be glossed over.

While horrified that Fergie had spoiled the affect of her dress, Amanda Platell decided to go ahead and wear the dress and show off how great the dress could look when worn appropriately .

Here Amanda Platell shows off how great the Ferretti dress looks when it fits well, is pressed and worn with au courant peep toe pumps in soft champagne gold satin.
Nicely done!! Wish she had added in a couple of bracelets but her hair, makeup work well with the dress and her skintone.

No matter who you are, you don't need a stylist to put yourself together. You just need to have some friends (like Michaela Jedinak and LA-Story.com) to help you put it together or give you style suggestions. That's really what Celebrity Style Slam is all about: what's right and wrong about what's being seen on celebrities.
