Looks like ruffles are in for another full year's worth of fashion exposure. The ruffles have been making high and low end statements on runways and mass for a while when it comes to ready to wear and couture fashion. Now it's spread to accessories like shoes and handbags. Courtesy of Monsieur Valentino, the handbags from some lines are about $1000 (yes that's the correct number of zeros). Thanks to HandbagDesigner101.com, they are featuring bags that are seriously on-trend and they are affordable!!!

Another affordable but much smaller presentation of ruffled bags is from Nine West who's gotten very creative (genius designer here) with ruffles for the Gaby Clutch at a reasonable $79.00. This bag won't be available till September though. It's going to come in black, purple and blue (though that purple looks very light.)

From Steve Madden is this very feminine presentation of ruffled little bag with a chain handle available in beige (boring) or magenta (better!) and priced at $108.00. However it's not leather (none of them are leather) but at least you will find it easier to keep clean if you get the magenta or the beige because it's faux.

Love the bags, love the trendspotting and I heart the HandbagDesigner101.com site for their amazing bags-- and there are indie designers in the site. So check this place out.
