Keaton Simons has been mentioned on this blog many times. If you listened to the WTNI podcast, you will know just how long I have been following & talking with and about Keaton Simons and his indie/alt jazzy, bluesy, rock & roll and whatever you want to call it type of music. He has his own thing going on- -and he works it well. It’s highly addictive. Once you get into his music, it will ring through your brain.

In late 2007, I hit one of Keaton’s performances during his residency at Hotel Cafe, sponsored by KCRW radio. I snagged some time with Keaton after seeing him perform with his stellar collection of musicians (including Curtis Peoples who stepped up to the microphone) . The video includes a performance of his title track (unknown to me at that time) of his new CD dropping in JUNE 10, 2008, entitled, CAN YOU HEAR ME ? online and in stores!
