Andy is the Marketing Manager for Quiksilver and talks about how the film illustrates Quiksilver’s commitment to the sport of surfing as well as being a lifestyle brand. It’s all about living the life of So. Calif and Quiksilver has a bead on surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and other extreme sports for guys and girls (Roxy brand!).
Andy tells you all about the flick from a marketing perspective Andy also talks about the short film contest that Quiksilver sponsored for this premiere and who the winner is of this new short film competition.

WAIT .. there’s MUCH more to come because if you wait a few seconds, you then you get to hear Jamie , one of the producers of the First Chapter Film on Dane Reynolds and just how involved Dane was in creating this flick. As much of the Quiksilver crew went with Dane — though sometimes it was only one guy with a camera out there with Dane, it’s a film that circles the globe surfing in exotic ports of call. And it’s smokin’ hot with the special effects, music and has some of the best production values around.

There was also a WORLD PREMIERE PARTY at Quiksilver HQ in Huntington Beach. Here’s what Quiksilver had to say about it:
The US Premiere of "First Chapter" was off the hook. Over 3000 people jammed the Quiksilver headquarters for the best party of the summer. Sparta rocked the house and the screening of "First Chapter" left the audience in complete awe – a groundbreaking film on every level. Everyone left thinking the same thing – this is core surf movie of the year.
Skate legends Christian Hosoi and Arto Saari shook the new ramp before the party and surf stars like Fred Patacchia, Kalani Robb, Kala Alexander, Danny Fuller, Clay Marzo, Troy Brooks, Luke Munro, Jeremy Flores, and Julian Wilson, along with a beavy of beautiful babies were on hand for the whole thing.

VENTURA PREMIERE
Again Quiksilver said it best as they took over Ventura, Calif, home town for Dane Reynolds as he brings the party and the film on home to his family and his buds!
The "First Chapter" premiere in Dane’s hometown of Ventura went richter! The crowd was super surf stoked, and you could feel the energy as Dane punted air after air to hoots and whistles from the audience. Al Merrick made an appearance, as well as locals Willy Morris and Chris Darrah.
This event made a big impact on the Ventura/Santa Barbara crew; especially the local groms. Dane was humble and gracious as ever, Kliney rocked the mic, Mo Daddy kept the bus rolling, and things went off without a hitch. I think it’s safe to say they’ll talking about this one for years to come…
