Maybe it’s true, maybe I am never happy with whatever season it is. I seem to be a touch out of sync with things (according to my husband) but I always love it when it’s warm and sunny and things are growing. I have always thought that late spring and summer was *my* time of year. Perhaps its because even when I walk at 6 AM or 6 PM, the scent of plants, flowers, trees, even the ocean air is there to greet me and make me appreciate life, the world, just being around all that grows. Maybe I am just a die-hard romantic (except that Byron didn’t have credit cards in his day)
While I wait for the spring and summer solstice (and yes I know it’s only January), I can bring that spring feeling into my home and into my bath with some fabulous new products from FRESH!
The Pink Jasmine Collection should not be missed. While some might think that it too is a spin off the Memoirs of a Geisha Collection and movie, I happen to think that creators Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg are bit more than stretching the effect of that movie on the consumers. Take a step back and realize that a lot of their products have inspiration from Europe and Asia and you can see that it’s just the luck of the draw that the Pink Jasmine Collection emerges now. Personally I would like to think it’s not a moment too soon. I love long summery warm days and gorgeous sunsets (ok ok, yes I still have the glorious sunsets here) but the Pink Jasmine will take you hauntingly back to spring and sultry summer with the romantic yet fresh (pun intended) feelof this scent.
The Pink Jasmine Eau de Parfum is a gorgeous scent and for those jasmine or tuberose/gardenia fans, you may want to snag this one sooner than later. Don’t wait for Valentine’s Day for this one! It’s complex yet still has a sprightly feel and it’s sophisticated in a very low-key manner. It doesn’t smack you in the face; it seduces!
Top Notes: red orange (for a citrus kick with sweetness), freesia and spring lilac (sweet florals)
Heart Notes: magnolia (rich and creamy) , peony (a bit of spicy floral), fresh jasmine, tiare flower (for a tropical underscore to the jasmine)
Base Notes: precious woods, velvety peach skin (for a subtle fruitiness) marshmallow (for a slight tweak of sugar and vanilla but not overly so)
($75 for 100 ml)
While you enjoy the love affair with the Eau de Parfum, don’t forget to pick up the body products that will enhance and extend the affect of the EDP.
Pink Jasmine Body Cream is a luscious, deeply moisturizing cream that will soften skin while it softly perfumes it. ($75– 200g)
Pink Jasmine Soap Set features shea butter enriched soap with Pink Jasmine scent to gently cleanse and moisturize while the fragrance wafts through the air and scents everything around it (including you!) ($25– 2 bars)
