If you are a skincare junkie like I am, you definitely need to 1) listen to the podcast and 2) check out this line–regardless if you are a man or a woman! The new cosmeceutical line has been tested by researchers at major medical centers and by models too and the results have been fabulous. So listen up peeps, and this might be the answer to your skincare needs.
Somme Institute Skincare Basics– just five little products plus a travel/test drive kit that lasts for 2 weeks.
Somme Institute Nourishing Cleanser is a non-foaming, mild cleanser containing our patented, biochemically engineered vitamin complex, MDT5. Perfect for all skin types, the Nourishing cleanser deep cleans skin without irritation or over-drying, dissolving dirt and oil without clogging pores. Cleansers that dry the skin do more harm than good since they send your oil glands into overdrive, causing them to produce even more oil, which leads to clogged pores and breakouts. By not over-drying the skin, the Nourishing Cleanser helps to treat acne rather than exacerbate the condition.
Somme Institute Transport pads are infused with MDT5 and a synergistic blend of alpha hydroxy (AHA) and beta hydroxy (BHA) acids to exfoliate dead cells on the skin’s surface and unclog blocked pores. Essential vitamins are delivered deep into the skin to promote resiliency, hydration, and cell renewal. Complementing the MDT5 effects are vitamin B5, aloe powder, chamomile extract, and green tea extract. Vitamin B5 and aloe powder serve as humectants to attract water to the skin, increasing its moisture content and eliminating fine dehydration lines. Chamomile extract and Green tea extract work anti-oxidant action on the skin.
Somme Institute Serum’s advanced formulation combines a potent, stabilized form of vitamin C along with a high concentration of MDT5 to improve skin elasticity, smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, eliminate unsightly brown spots, and alleviate the redness associated with acne. The most dramatic improvements are observed when Serum is used with Transport and A-bomb twice a day.
Somme Institute A-Bomb is a quick-penetrating, lightweight cream containing high concentrations of advanced forms of vitamins A and E along with other vitamins of the MDT5 complex. Restoring optimal function to skin cells and speeding cell renewal, A-Bomb aggressively repairs sun damage, eliminates fine lines and wrinkles, and targets problem areas on acne-prone skin. For fastest skin recovery, use A-Bomb with Transport and Serum, twice a day.
My two favorite products are the Serum and the A Bomb. They are "THE BOMB"!!
Somme Institute Double Defense Day Moisture is a lightweight, waterproof moisturizer that provides complete sun protection (SPF30+) from broad-spectrum UVA/UVB rays. Double Defense goes steps beyond traditional sunscreens by combining free-radical scavengers and anti-inflammatory agents with the most sophisticated sun protection technology, including Phytosorb and Parsol 1789. Double Defense also creates an effective water-resistant barrier to lock in skin’s vital moisture. Vitamin E, along with other vitamins of the MDT5 complex, aid in moisturizing the skin beneath the surface, treat preexisting sun damage, and halt the signs of premature aging. Aloe powder, panthenol, and allantoin provide additional soothing properties to heal exposed skin. The result is a unique formulation that delivers the ultimate in sun protection.
This is a nice moisturizer. I just wish they had used a physical block rather than chemical because of the frequent sensitivity to chemical blocks.
The MOBILE Travel Kit is everything you need for 14 days of skincare. It’s small, and easily packable and the entire thing is disposable at the end of the 14 days– so when on vacation, you can chuck the rest before you pack or get on the plane. It’s a breeze to pack.
The MOBILE kit makes a great trial run but if you buy it, try buying 2 because you will run out of certain products in 14 days and you don’t want to do that. My rule of thumb is to test drive for at least 30 days if not 6 weeks, especially if I feel there is some changes actually occuring. I can tell in 3-4 weeks if nothing is happening at all and discontinue but 2 weeks is barely long enough for a test drive–though for those with acne, you would see some results in 2 weeks– so for your skintype, that would be a great way to go.
