Interested in DIY Apps? Didmo VP of Business Development, Angelo Biasi, Talks About Magmito!

Relatively new on the consumer scene for DIY app platforms, is Magmito (http://www.Magmito.com). Magmito– a division of Didmo- is a DIY app creator for individuals, small and large businesses to able to create something special that getsw them across a variety of smartphone platforms as well as the ability to embed videos and other information via QR codes (see my post on geofencing .)

Foreseeing the mass adoption of QR Codes as a standard, Magmito was the first tool of this sector to incorporate auto-generated QR Codes in March, 2010. Here are a couple of QR codes for you to scan with your QR reader on your phone:

The platform automatically produces a unique QR Code for each app created. Magmito apps are either free (with ads) for the first month with a 4.99 per month subscription or for $99 are ad-free.

To learn more about this DIY app platform, here is an interview I did with Didmo Vice President of Business Development, Angelo Biasi.
(This interview was done before Christmas which I know I am a little late. However there has been a change in the product structure since this interview because the “free” part of the DIY app builder is now one month free and then a subscription-based product) Check the graphic above for the information. At the time of the interview, there was a completely free app with ads configured into it. That option is no longer available– as per the graphic.

Magmito is the only mobile app creation tool that is white-labeled by a major wireless carrier as an SMB solution. In June 2011, TeliaSonera, the 5th largest wireless carrier in Europe, signed up with DIDMO, the company that created Magmito, to provide it to its SMB customers. Didmo is in talks with other European and U.S. based telecoms about being the white-label provider for their SMB customers. With over 80% of small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) in the US planning to invest in mobile this year, Magmito is an affordable, easy-to-use online platform that lets anyone create mobile apps that lets users access any content they’d like. In addition to the auto-generated QR Codes, developers can easily distribute their apps through, popular app stores, Facebook, Twitter, SMS, email-to-mobile, Tell-a-friend and more.
