This is the last of five posts about Edge of Salvation, this cool indie movie where I was invited to interview the cast on location in North Hollywood. Unfortunately I was unable to interview Jonathan Lipnicki because he was not on set at that time I was there.
However I did get to interview D. Michael Beldie, a young man who plays the character of the boy who’s parents are killed — it’s the role that the movie revolves around and understanding his character is key to the movie.
Theme:
The film takes a social-economic look at what our country is faced with today as seen through the eyes of a 14 year-old-boy and a family that loses everything due to a down economy, pride, greed and ultimately “man’s inhumanity to man.” It touches on abuse, hunger and poverty, but in the end there’s a glimmer of hope that is manifested through undying faith. The message of the film is never to give up no matter how difficult life may appear to be. Always adapt and overcome.
Edge of Salvation was written and directed by Luciano Saber .
Cast: a slew of actors you know: Charlene Tilton, Jeremy London, Jonathan Lipnicki, Kelly Washington and a break-out for D. Michael Beldi in a key role.
Breaking out actor and model, D. Michael Beldie talks about his role in this movie and where he’s going from here.
Podcast of the interview.
Thank you to D Michael Beldie for his participation in this interview.
This is a movie you shouldn’t miss seeing!
